Please note: The Lessons of creation that are presented here are in accordance with current scientific discoveries and the knowledge that we have today. I have tried in the best of my ability to present these lessons with Islamic perspective. I ask for Allah's Guidance and His Forgiveness if I have made any mistakes in this work.
First Great Lesson
This Lesson can be presented in two days.
Teacher usually tells the great lessons without reading it from the paper. Also all the items for the presentation are covered with cloth and teacher uncovers each item during the story.
Life Begins
Billions and
Billions of years ago, so long ago that we cannot even imagine, Allah the most
High created the Universe and everything in it. Allah SWT just said “be” and it
was. Simply by His Will and the reasons known to Him only the Universe was
created. The Scientists call it the Big Bang, the Great explosion and so on.
1) Fill up the black balloon with confetti stars and pop it with a pin.
Following this big explosion, Allah "turned
to the sky, and it had been (as) smoke. He said to it and to the earth: 'Come
together, willingly or unwillingly.' They said: 'We come (together) in willing
obedience'" (41:11).
Thus the elements and what was to become the
planets and stars began to cool, come together, and form into shape, following
the natural laws that Allah established in the universe.
The Qur'an says that
"the heavens and the earth were joined together as one unit, before We
clove them asunder" (21:30)
When Allah
SWT created the Universe large amount of matter was spread out throughout. This
hot matter expanded and expanded to the distance so great that no measurements
are big enough to measure this distance. Something amazing happened. This hot
matter broke apart and turned by the will of Allah into the first stars that
lit up the Universe.
2) Light up the candle and show it to children
Billions and
billions of stars lit up the Universe and by the amazing force that Allah has
created which we call gravity some
of those billions of starts became attracted towards one another and started
forming groups which we now call galaxies.
3) Take bowl of water and drop some confetti stars. Let children observe how the stars start moving towards each other and form groups.
So the stars and galaxies now existed in the Universe but
wait! There was no Sun and the Earth yet.
Then
something amazing happened.
By the will
of Allah Almighty one of the spinning clouds of dust, gas and matter was hit by
the shockwave traveling through the Universe. That shockwave could have been
from exploding star or any other force that Allah created in the beginning of
the Universe that is only known to Him.
This
shockwave caused the matter in the spinning cloud to break apart which caused
the formation of the clumps which later on formed into planets that we have
today. One of the biggest and hottest clumps is the Sun which became the center
of all the planets by the will of Allah Almighty!
4) Show Children the big yellow ball representing the Sun and a golden bead or any bead representing the Earth.
SubhanAllah!
How amazing Allah is to make this happen in such a way that our planets are
formed into perfect spheres each floating on its own orbit.
Did you know
Allah SWT says in the Quran:
That Allah
created the sun, the moon, and the planets, each with their own individual
courses or orbits. "It is He Who created the night and the day, and the
sun and the moon; all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded
course" (21:33).
This beautiful family of planets with the Sun in the Center is called
Solar System and it’s our home in this Vast Universe. Our Home or our Galaxy is
called Milky Way.
5) Show Children the Model of the Solar System or a Chart
When the Earth was first formed it was extremely hot, just like a hot
fire ball. Melted liquid rock was covering the Earth. This liquid or molten
rock was very hot and bubbly.
Moreover the hot pieces of space matter called meteorites were crushing
into the Earth.
Over Millions of years and after
long time the Earth slowly started to cool down and formed a thick crust. Under
that crust the Molten Rock was still so hot and bubbly so it began to expand
and expand and it pushed out breaking the crust and making huge holes on the
surface of the Earth.
These holes spewed out hot molten rock and gushed for many many years.
Those holes are called volcanoes.
6) Make a Volcano with Children by using bottle, vinegar with red coloring and baking soda. There are many videos on Youtube on how to make volcano.
Something amazing was happening while those volcanoes were gushing out.
The invisible kind of matter which is called gas was coming out with all of
that hot molten rock.
Slowly after many years the molten rock began to cool down and the
Earth’s crust wrinkled and cracked.
By the will of Allah, the most amazing thing, water, which is the beginning
of life and essential part of life, appeared on Earth by escaping from the
under the crust of the Earth.
Water vapor rose above the Earth which is a process that we call
evaporation.
As the water vapor cooled in the sky the first clouds appeared and we
call this process condensation.
These clouds became heavier and heavier and it was raining for millions
of years which caused the formation of the oceans on Earth.
How amazing the Universe that Allah has created!
What happened next on Earth is a whole another story.
7) At the End of this lesson Children can Make a galaxy craft, by gluing confetti starts onto the black construction paper.

As salamu alaykum
ReplyDeleteI have just started the NAMC in 6-9years (in order to help homeschool my children). This is amazing, what you have done with the stories. Do you have a printable copy of the stories?
amazing. thank you so much for making it simple and understandable.
